Beer City Winds (BCW) is an adult symphonic band that provides a semi-professional performing experience. Meeting and performing for eight weeks in the early summer (to accommodate students and teachers on a school-year schedule), this ensemble’s diverse membership allows for a unique instrumental community that prides itself on technical precision, musicality, and emotional depth.
Members should be at least 18 years old and have at least 6 years of experience playing their instrument. Interested musicians must fill out the membership application (linked below), and the Director will review each applicant. members will be selected based on time commitment, performing experience and ensemble needs Space size limits the number of performers in the group. Ensemble balance is crucial and members will be selected based on time commitment, performing experience and ensemble needs.. Application review will begin on April 1 and all applicants will be notified of their status by April 7th. If a section has more applicants than spots available in the band, auditions will be held for those sections the week of April 21. Anyone not initially selected for participation will be added to the substitute list.
